Brent Musburger is talking about Katherine Webb again. Seriously, is this guy obsessed or what?
Actually, the 73-year-old broadcaster hadn't made any comments on the storm that erupted over his on-air remarks about the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron.
But TMZ tracked him down at a Palm Beach, Fla., airport Tuesday ... and that's when he revealed he's been stalking the young beauty queen.
Actually, he said that he has never met her but was sure it would be a pleasant experience if he ever got the opportunity. "I'm sure at some time we'll run into each other," Musburger said. "I'll smile, I hope she's still smiling. I wish her nothing but the best."
But then the guy flew into a rage when he was reminded that ESPN apologized on his behalf for the incident.
Actually, he remained very calm and chose his words very carefully. "You know, individuals say what individuals say, corporations do what corporations do," he said. "Obviously they felt it was the right thing for them to do."
When asked if he thought what he said about Webb was inappropriate, Musburger thought for a few seconds before smiling and simply answering, "No."
So there you have it, folks. Brent Musburger is a dirty old man and a complete jerk.
Actually, he seems like a nice guy who has handled an awkward situation in a classy manner.
