Tim Tebow playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
That's the goal of a group of Jaguars fans who have scheduled a rally for 3:16 p.m. today at Everbank Field in Jacksonville to try to convince the team to sign the former Gators quarterback.
(UPDATE: ESPN.com reports that about people particiated in the rally -- covered by about 30 media members.)
"Tim Tebow Quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars? We say.... WHY THE HECK NOT?," the group says on its website, jags-tebow.com. "The Jags are going no where in 2013 if Opening day is any indication. An embarrassing 28-2 Home loss to the only team as bad as us last year."
Tebow/Jaguars fans are encouaged to "bring your Tebow signs, hats, shirts, whatever you have," the group says on its website. "This is our team. Show the Jags front office we want Tebow!"
The Jaguars have gone on record previously saying they had no plans to add Tebow. Of course, that was before the season started, and now the Jaguars have dropped their first two games.
Meanwhile, Tebow is still hoping to get back into the NFL. He was spotted last week at the University of Southern California in L.A. working on his throwing motion. This YouTube video shows his workout.
