NU holds on for sloppy 21-13 victory
MINNEAPOLIS — A fourth-quarter sequence encapsulated the game's sloppiness: Northwestern called a timeout on fourth-and-8, then took a delay-of-game penalty before punting to Minnesota's Troy Stoudermire, who fumbled the ball, which was recovered by a teammate who ran 27 yards only to have a Gophers personal foul largely negate the gain.
