His much-anticipated announcement scheduled for Thursday, Simeon's Jabari Parker apparently still is wavering.
At least that's what his father, coach and teammates are saying.
As for Parker himself, the prized recruit was entertaining Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski at his South Side home Tuesday afternoon while the Wolverines went through a light workout.
Two days earlier, BYU was in town. Monday it was Florida's Billy Donovan. Michigan State's Tom Izzo is due in Wednesday.
Parker will delight Duke, Michigan State, Florida, BYU or Stanford with his announcement at 3 p.m. Thursday. ESPNU will be broadcasting live from Simeon.
"He likes all of their programs," his father, Sonny Parker, said. "He wants to go through a thorough process."
Jabari reiterated Monday after Simeon's game at Carver that all five schools were still in the running. Sonny told USA Today last week he thought it was between Duke and Michigan State.
"That's just my opinion, how I felt at that particular time," he said Tuesday. "I thought they were the main two because they've been recruiting him the longest."
If Parker is leaning in a direction, he's keeping it to himself. Simeon point guard Jaylon Tate, an Illinois-bound senior, believes that's the case.
"I'm not sure what he's thinking, to be honest," Tate said. "I get the same response — he doesn't know yet. He probably knows but he's not telling anybody.
"I've talked to him about it a few times and he hasn't really told me what school he is leaning toward. I know of the schools he's considering, he likes them all."
Simeon coach Robert Smith either has no information, a good poker face or both.
"He is hard to read," Smith said. "We talked about it. He didn't have a leader. All five were still in contention. You're going to have to wait until Thursday."
