Notre Dame tops Oklahoma, improves to 8-0

NORMAN, Okla. -- Fireworks burst past the stadium rim and towels waved and an ear-splitting froth greeted Notre Dame, which merely had the chance to redefine itself on this night. The whole season crackled with possibility, but this was something different, something long-sought and elusive at hand.
