His much-anticipated announcement is about 48 hours away, and Simeon’s Jabari Parker apparently still is wavering.

At least that’s what his father, Sonny Parker, told the Tribune on Tuesday morning.

Parker's father said his son has been talking to all of the coaches on his list of schools this week as he tries to decide between Duke, Michigan State, Florida, BYU and Stanford.

Florida coach Billy Donovan was in town Monday, and coaches from Duke "will probably" come to make another pitch in the next couple days, Parker's father said.

“He likes all of their programs,” Parker's father said. “He wants to go through a thorough process.”

Jabari Parker reiterated Monday after Simeon’s game at Carver that all five schools were still in the running. Parker's father told USA Today last week he thought it was between Duke and Michigan State.

"That’s just my opinion, how I felt at that particular time,” he said Tuesday. "I thought they were the main two because they’ve been recruiting him the longest.”

The announcement is set for 3 p.m. Thursday at Simeon. It will be televised live on ESPNU.
