The marriage of Miss Katherine Hunt Whitehead of Arlington, Va., daughter of Dr. and Mrs. David Calloway Whitehead Jr., of Richmond, to Charles Carter Hutchens of Washington, D.C., son of Mrs. Charles Kunkle

Hutchens III of Newport News, Va., and the late Mr. Hutchens, took place at Cannon Memorial Chapel, University of Richmond, on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at 6 o’clock in the evening.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents,

is the granddaughter of Mrs. Milton Arnold Scott Sr. and the late Mr. Scott of Richmond and the late Dr. and Mrs. David Calloway Whitehead Sr. of Norfolk, Va. The groom is the grandson of Mrs. John Wilferd Paulson

Sr. and the late Mr. Paulson, and Mrs. Charles Kunkle Hutchens Jr.

and the late Mr. Hutchens, all of Newport News.

Katherine Gold Whitehead and Katherine Wassum Whitehead of Richmond, sisters-in-law of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Marian Dudley Hutchens of Newport News, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Karen Marie Gardner of Wilmington, N.C., Lanier Denechaud Hall and Erin Kate Hussey, both of Washington, D.C., Laura Ann Muldoon of Conshohocken, Pa., Nicole Spadafora Salter of Atlanta, Ga., and Lauren Marie Zimmerman of Arlington.

David Calloway Whitehead III and Scott Hamilton Whitehead of Richmond, brothers of the bride, served as best men. Groomsmen included Samuel

Max Cohen of Dallas, Texas, Lars Edward Lassen of Newport News, Jonathan Kingsley McAdam and William Paul Wallace III, both of Washington, D.C., John Blackmore Morgan III of Richmond, and Jonathan

Fitzhugh Wilson of Boston, Mass. Miss Anne Levy Whitehead,niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Master David Calloway Whitehead IV, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Readers were Emily Carter Paulson of Philadelphia, Pa., Caroline Daimler Jobe and Claire Scott Gill, both of Richmond. Emily Carol Dean

and Amy Ellen Dean, of Arlington, were program attendants.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s mother, was held at The Jefferson Hotel. A reception was held following the ceremony at The Commonwealth Club.

The couple will reside in Arlington.
