What is NIE anyway?
NIE, or Newspapers in Education, means using a newspaper to teach almost anything to almost anyone. A newspaper has limitless possibilities in its use as a “textbook.”
First of all, a newspaper should be read.
The alphabet and simple words can be taught with the bigger letters of headlines. Comics are perfect for sequencing, as are the classified ads for categorizing.
