WEST POINT  – Earlier this afternoon, an elderly King & Queen woman ran her car into a West Point restaurant.

Around noon on Friday, Nov. 22, Shirley Boyer, 87, was heading to Anna's Pizza (3040 King William Road) when she lost control of her Cadillac and struck the side of the building, causing damage to a small section of the brick and one window.

The restaurant was evacuated following the accident and no injuries were reported.

"I was turning around because I was going to pull into the parking lot and eat at Anna's for lunch.  All of a sudden, I didn't seem to have any control over my car," Boyer said.
