Sandston woman faces drug charges after being arrested at New Kent County Food Lion

NEW KENT – A Sandston woman has been arrested for drug possession after being caught acting strangely in Food Lion.

Arica Robbins Thomas, 27, was arrested by the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office on October 4 at 9:30 p.m. and charged with possession of a controlled substance (schedule I or II) and possession of drug paraphanelia.

Deputy W. Johnston received a call in regards to a female (later identified as Thomas) acting suspiciously at the Quinton Food Lion, located at 7300 Marketplace Drive.

Upon his arrival at the Food Lion, Johnston found Thomas in the parking lot, and located suspected heroin and other drug paraphanelia inside the vehicle in which she had been riding.

Thomas was arrested and taken to Henrico Jail East where she was held on a $2,500 secured bond.

She is scheduled to face the New Kent County General District Court on Tuesday, October 8.
