NEW KENT – A Providence Forge man has been charged with burglarizing a home in his neighborhood.

According to a New Kent Sheriff's Office crime report, Nathaniel James Muzzone, 40, of White Dogwood Drive, was charged with home burglary on June 23.

The release said that concerned citizens called that day to report a suspicious situation at a residence off White Dogwood Drive. When deputies arrived they noticed one of the home's windows was smashed and surrounded by what appeared to be blood.

While searching the home, deputies reportedly found Muzzone in an upstairs bedroom.

“After speaking with the homeowner, collecting evidence and statements, Muzzone was placed under arrest [and charged with] burglary,” the sheriff's office reported.

Muzzone was transported to Henrico Jail East where he was held without bond.

Muzzone appeared in New Kent County General District Court on June 24, where his case was continued until July 2 at 8:30 a.m.
