New Kent High School Scholastic Team wins State

NEW KENT – The New Kent High School Scholastic Team is the undefeated state champions.

The New Kent team beat Western Albemarle 255-175 in the AA state final, held at the College of William and Mary on Saturday, Feb. 23.  

The 2013 New Kent High School Scholastic Team (Bailey Angle, Heather Sledd, Alexys Gray, and Nathaniel Boughner) finished the season with a 30-0 record.

According to Coach Matt Duckworth, this is the first time this team has won state.
