Two local Snap Fitness branches in King William and New Kent counties are coming together to overcome obstacles.
Team Snap Fitness will be participating in the Warrior Dash Virginia, the world's largest obstacle race series, at Colonial Downs on Saturday, September 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
According to Quinton Snap Fitness employee Melissa Witt Peña, Warrior Dash is a "mud-crawling, fire-leaping, extreme running series that is held on the most challenging and rugged terrain across the globe."
Warrior Dash describes the 3.1-mile course at Colonial Downs as "moderately hilly," with 12 obstacles.
For a $90 entry fee, participants, who must be 21 years of age, will get a T-shirt, custom medal and warrior helmet, one free beer, and access to a party.
Entrance to the festival is free to all (non-running) Warrior supporters.
Parking is $10 per car.
