Virginia Farm Bureau educates patients on health insurance

KING WILLIAM — Americans have questions about health care reform, and Virginia Farm Bureau is working to provide the answers they need from professionals in their own communities.

To help Virginians navigate the changes set in motion by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Virginia Farm Bureau has begun making designated specialists available in key county Farm Bureau offices across the state.

Tracy M. Longest has been promoted to Office Lead and Health Insurance Specialist in the King William County Farm Bureau. Among Tracy's primary responsibilities is providing individuals and families with answers about health care reform and about new health insurance products and how to obtain them.

"This new position will better position us to help our customers understand the new health care law and make their enrollment decisions," said Bill Monday, vice president of Health Care Consultants at Virginia Farm Bureau.
