NEW KENT – Four suspects involved in robbing a string of McDonald's restaurants by gunpoint, including one in New Kent County, have been arrested and identified.
The four suspects were taken into custody early Thursday morning following a Dinwiddie McDonald's robbery and a traffic stop by Chesterfield County and Virginia State Police.
The four suspects have been linked to as many as 15 restaurant robberies throughout the Richmond area, including the New Kent County McDonald's.
Two armed masked men robbed the New Kent County McDonald's on August 26 around 3 a.m.
The men reportedly held store personnel at gunpoint and demanded money from the registers. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.
According to New Kent Sheriff F.W. “Wakie” Howard, Jr., Commonwealth's Attorney Linwood Gregory may also serve direct indictments.
The suspects are currently being held in Chesterfield County.
