A clerk at a Gloucester smoke shop that sold the synthetic drugs spice and bath salts has been sentenced to five months in prison and fined $100.
Jeffrey Allen Fowlkes was a clerk at A Lil of This n That on Crab Thicket Road from August through December 2012 and sold spice, according to court documents. Fowlkes pleaded guilty last September to the sale of synthetic drugs at the store, where he earned $400 per week, according to court documents.
The owners of the store, Daniel Carlton Bray and Rachel Ellon Webb-Harvey, are awaiting sentencing in March after pleading guilty in September to the sales of synthetic drugs.
The store had gross revenue in 2012 of $525,000, according to court documents.
