The walls are rough, gray concrete marred by occasional cracks and craters. The floors also are concrete and stained an uneven earthy hue. But the space is not a work in progress. Nor is it the conversion of a loft building from a bygone era. The 82 condominium residences of The Front Street Lofts of Lemont are newly constructed and deliberately designed to appear like a well-worn factory.
