Both actresses started out young (though they still are young), with Kristen Stewart in her first role at 8, and Dakota Fanning in a Tide commercial at 5. At 12, Stewart got "Panic Room" with Jodie Foster, but Fanning got "I Am Sam" with Sean Penn, earning a SAG Award nomination at age 7!
While Stewart went between smaller movies to larger ones growing up, Fanning had more attention and heavier roles with big co-stars. Both actresses have now converged, doing three movies back-to-back-to-back together.
Winner: Fanning. She has been the face of the child star.
