More than two weeks before the big shopping day, Walmart, Target, Best Buy and others have released their Black Friday advertisements.
Among the highlights:
Walmart will begin its doorbuster deals at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28 --- otherwise known as Thanksgiving Day. That is two hours earlier than its 2012 opening time.
The 40-page Walmart advertisements boasts the sure-to-be-popular "Call of Duty: Ghosts" video game for $39.96, the Disney Infinity starter-pack and the Skylanders starter-pack for $38.96, and a Razor Riprider for $49.
At 8 p.m., additional deals will go live at Walmart stores, including a 50-inch Emerson HDTV for $288 and beats by Dr. Dre headphones for $118. During what Walmart is calling the "second event," shoppers can buy an iPhone 5c for $45 and get a $75 Walmart gift card. The 5s version will cost $189, but also earns buyers a $75 Walmart gift card.
Here is what Jerry Tietjens, bargain hunter for crazytowndeals.com, says about the Walmart ad:
"Lots of action Friday from 8am - 2pm. We like the 1-hour in stock guarantee. Vizio 60" HDTV for $688 is nice. A 32" HDTV for $98 is pretty hot. Call of Duty: Ghosts and many more new video games marked down significantly. A $38 LG Blu-Ray player is very low. Tons of Blu-Ray movies at pretty low prices. Storage Ottoman for $29 is ridiculous. Home stuff is just ok. Kid's bikes from $24+ is very nice. LOTS of toys on sale at very good prices."

Target will open at 8 p.m. Thursday, advertising a 50-inch Element HDTV for $229.
Other highlights include a $100 Target gift card when you buy any iPad, a $60 iTunes gift card pack for $50, Lego City Forest Police pack for $50, $99 power wheels cars, and $30 Christmas trees. Shoppers who spend $75 on Friday will get a coupon for 20 percent off their purchase between Dec. 1-7.
Here is what Tietjens has to say about the ad.
"Surprising deals on video games already, including for PS4 an Xbox One. Target will have Buy one get one free on all video games on Black Friday morning. That means you can get three premium games, which at regular price will run you about $180, for $120. Tons of home stuff on sale like bedding, bath, and kitchen with very low prices. Most of the rest of the ad is lukewarm small gift cards with purchase deals."

Best Buy will open at 6 p.m. Thursday, offering a 55-inch LG TV for $499, iPad 2 models for $299, and Kindle Fire HD tablets for $99. iPod nanos will be on sale for $99, $100 iTunes gift cards for $85, and the Microsoft Surface tablet for $199.
Here is what Tietjens has to say about the ad:
"In my opinion, the most exciting ad of all that I've seen so far. iPad Air for $299.99, a Samsung 65" LED for $999.99, an LG 55" LED HDTV for $499.99, a $99.00 Kindle Fire HD, some of the latest movies on Blu-Ray for $7.99, a Galaxy Tab 3 16GB for $149.99 are all pretty hot. Also some very good deals on higher end appliances, as much as $1500 off regular price."
"Assuming you'll get there early enough to find them in stock, the deals at Best Buy are among the best we've seen from any retailer this year. If you're shopping online, we expect the competition to be very fierce, with Amazon price matching the brick & mortar stores early and often."
