On Saturday, October 5th, the Greater West Point Family YMCA hosted the Crab Carnival Races for the 7th year. The races had a total of 23 participants; nine in the Mile Fun Run and 14 runners for the 8k. The race registration was held at the YMCA facility with the races starting and finishing on Taylor Avenue.
The YMCA thanks the Town of West Point Police Department and the Olsson family for their continued support of the Y and for allowing the use of their property for the 8k course.
The Greater West Point Family YMCA would also like to thank all of this year's Crab Carnival Fun Run/Walk and 8k volunteers. The event would not have been possible without them and their support: AJ Duke, Shannon Houser, Ron Houser, Allyson Houser, Lyndsey Houser, Polly Cogan and Mary Kate Cogan.
This year's race was able to raise enough funds to sponsor two children for the YMCA's Bright Beginnings Program.
