McKendree United Methodist Church Benefit Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 at Queenfield Golf Club in King William with a Captain's Choice Shotgun Start at 1 pm. Fish Fry (Shackelfords Chapel United Methodist)

Fall Fish Fry at Shackelfords Chapel United Methodist Church in Lower King & Queen County (3727 Buena Vista Road - Rt. 14) will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM (if we don't run out of fish before then!).

Fall Festival & Parade (Frog Level Fire Dept.)

Children First (Co-Parenting Program)

Dates: Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. at MPNNCSB Warsaw Counseling Center, 414 Main St., Warsaw, VA 22572; Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Location: MPNNCSB MH/SA Admin. Office, 13794 Tidewater Trail, Saluda, VA 23149 About Children First: Children First is a 4-hour co-parenting education program designed to prevent custody conflicts. The program helps parents understand the importance of both parents having an active, involved, and positive relationship with their children. Parents will learn: How divorce or separation and continued conflict impact children; How to talk with children about the situation; How to manage conflict and emotions constructively; How to take care of children during the changes in the family; How to develop a positive co-parenting relationship; The group takes place in a supportive and nurturing atmosphere. Cost of training: $50 per person. West Point Cancer Support Group

The West Point Cancer Support Group offers support to current cancer patients, survivors and their family members/caregivers. The group is comprised of all ages, sexes, types of cancer, etc. and is also open to West Point's surrounding communities. The Group meets the third Monday of each month at 7 pm. The meetings take place at the West Point YMCA located at 3135 King William Avenue.
