NEW KENT – Providence Forge Presbyterian Church and Rockahock Campground celebrated the Third Annual Bluegrass Faith Festival on Sunday, September 29, 2013. The festival, which was introduced as a way to promote faith and fellowship in the community, benefits the building fund at Providence Forge Presbyterian Church (PFPC).
The lineup for this year included headliner Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Marty Raybon, the James King Band, Highway 249, and the Willis River Band.
As in past years, this event was a day-long family celebration along the river. Tickets allowed for admission to the entire day of concerts and a picnic lunch.
The festival was a faith based program designed to attract Christian families, friends and neighbors to gather for a day of fellowship, food and bluegrass music. Rockahock campground, on the Chickahominy River, partnered with PFPC to host the event. Rockahock is known as a popular setting with ideal facilities that can easily manage large crowds and concerts. Wine and Design, located in Williamsburg helped sponsor the event.
