A benefit for the Junior League of Tallahassee, the festivities (all at the civic center, 505 W. Pensacola St., Tallahassee; 850-224-9161) mix shopping, a fashion show and even the opportunity for watching some football, if shopping isn't your thing.
Here's a quick look at the highlights:
•Oh, What Fun it is to Shop: Did someone mention shopping? An assortment of potential gifts, ranging from pewter serving platters to handbags and children's clothing, will be displayed in a winter wonderland setting at the civic center. There also will be music and other touches to put visitors in the holiday spirit. Hours: 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Nov. 18; 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 19; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 20. Admission: $7 adults, $3 ages 6-12, $15 for 3-day passes.
•Fashion Tallahassee: Taking its inspiration from the runways of New York and Paris, the event staged by TutuDivine.com will feature looks from top Tallahassee boutiques, coveted swag bags and door prizes from top designers. Hours: 5 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18. Tickets range from $35 to $100.
•Santa Claus is Coming to Breakfast: Kids of all ages will have the opportunity to walk into Santa's Workshop from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 20. In addition to quality time with the Big Guy, there will be a performance of "The Nutcracker" by the Tallahassee Ballet and a holiday-inspired train display from Big Bend Train Club. Tickets ($15, free for age 2 and under) include a pancake buffet, a gift for each child and photo with Santa.
•The First Touchdown Football Lounge: This spot, a respite for the non-shoppers among us, is included in the price of the shopping ticket ($7). Open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 20, the lounge offers the chance to watch the afternoon college football lineup and appraise samples from Tallahassee beer distributor Tri-Eagle Sales.
