If life has been too hectic for you to plan a summer vacation, time may be running out.
“Summer means low season pricing in Mexico,” said Gabe Saglie, a Travelzoo senior editor.
“Popular destinations like Cancun and Cabo San Lucas benefit from a lot of airfare competition, as well as a lot of competition among resorts on the ground.
“So deals are still prevalent, and the plethora of all-inclusive opps (opportunities) creates significant values.”
You might want to stay away from eastern Mexico because of potential hurricane activity; the season continues through November, Saglie said. He also noted that much of Mexico is hot this time of year, though ocean breezes cool temperatures along the coast.
Among the Mexico deals Travelzoo is offering:
- $269 for four nights in a waterfront room at Club Tesoro at the Wyndham Cabo San Lucas Resort (price is for two people),
- $120 per person per night at the Hotel Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas, including meals, alcohol, taxes and gratuities.
