More than 70 world-class chefs from Hawaii, the mainland and around the globe will show off their skills, incorporating only produce grown, raised or caught in Hawaii.
The Maui evening, Malama Maui, will take place Sept. 1 at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort on Kaanapali Beach. The meal will feature food grown on the island.
The additions to this year’s lineup include Ricardo Zarate of Mo-Chica in Los Angeles. Returning chefs include L.A.’s Celestino Drago (Drago Restaurant Group) and Nancy Silverton (Mozza Restaurant Group).
There will be five signature evening events during the festival. They include “Under the Modern Moon: Morimoto & Friends” on Sept, 5 at The Modern Honolulu hotel and featuring Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
To accompany the food, four master sommeliers and about a dozen top-tier winemakers will guide guests through the finest vintages.
There will also be a variety of daily educational experiences with culinary themes.
