Michael McKenna is licking his chops, looking forward to free meals on Sunday and Monday in honor of Veterans Day.
"I'm planning on going to Denny's for breakfast, Olive Garden for lunch and either Applebee's or Golden Corral for dinner," the retired Army captain says.
McKenna, 35, of Tamarac, was awarded a Bronze Star after serving in Iraq. He and other vets can also get a free oil change at Meineke and a free haircut at Great Clips.
A battalion of South Florida businesses are saluting the brave men and women who have served or are serving in our armed forces by offering free meals, free haircuts, free car washes, shopping discounts and other free services on Sunday and Monday.
I've rounded up more then 40 offers at SunSentinel.com/Veterans.
"It's nice that these companies appreciate what I've done, thanking me for serving my country and defending our nation," McKenna says.
