The Wu-Tang Clan's Ghostface Killah can be most appreciated for his lyrical storytelling skills when you hear the rapper in a solo set, as will be the case when he brings his ¿12 Reasons to Die¿ tour to the Abbey Pub on Friday. Only Killah could pull off turning Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band's "Cherchez la Femme" into a hip-hop head-bobber called "Cherchez la Ghost," with the women looking for a dance.
Why go: You enjoy Ghostface but also long for some Wu-Tang "C.R.E.A.M." and "Can It Be All So Simple"; Ghostface will probably oblige as the hip-hop collective is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Reconsider: You have a hard time distinguishing Ghostface from Raekwon or GZA or Method Man or any of the other Wu-Tang MCs.
9 p.m. Friday at Abbey Pub, 3420 W. Grace St.; $20-$25; ticketfly.com
