With this feel-good stretch, you'll relieve tension in your chest, back and leg muscles. Just make sure you keep your hips level as you move from side to side.
1. Step your feet about 3 to 4 feet apart with your toes pointing straight ahead. Place a block on the floor in front of you. Inhale, lift your chest, exhale, fold forward from your hips, lengthening your spine. Place both hands on the block. Lift your kneecaps up toward your thighs to activate your legs.
2. Stabilize your hips by reaching your sternum and the crown of your head forward as you point your sitting bones straight back. On the next inhalation, rotate your rib cage, chest, shoulders and head to the right. Reach up to the ceiling with your right arm. Keep your hips level as your try to line up your top hand over your bottom hand. Pause and breathe in this pose for three breaths. Return to the start position and repeat on the other side.
