Flu activity has taken off in recent weeks, with Eastern Virginia the area of the state with the most activity and one of two pediatric flu-related deaths. About 7.5 percent of emergency room and urgent care center visits are for flu-like symptoms, the Virginia Health Department is reporting. Here's your chance to ask questions about the flu, its treatment and severity and determining whether you have the flu, cold or another virus. Dr. David Trump, director of the Peninsula Health Department, and Dr. James Byrne, who practices family medicine at Sentara Family & Internal Medicine Physicians in Hampton, will take your questions during a live Web chat Wednesday, Feb. 16, at noon at www.dailypress.com/health. Can't make the chat? E-mail questions in advance to firstname.lastname@example.org.
