Elliott Museum's Antique Car Collection, Stuart: A collection of 25 vintage cars, some once owned by businessman Sterling Elliott, who invented a quadracycle that was the basis for the Stanley Steamer. Cars in the collection include Elliott's first car, a 1909 Hupmobile, and a 1903 Cadillac. Muscle Car City, Punta Gorda: Muscle Car City is a 99,000-square-foot museum with more than 200 vintage '50s to early '70s muscle cars. Featuring classic cars and hot rods spanning 35 years of makes and models. The collection boasts GM Performance Cars and a huge assortment of Hot Rods and Antique Chevys. Rick has managed to maintain and collect one or more Corvette of each year from 1954-1975 and several of each series from 1975-2006. Daytona International Speedway Tours: NASCAR fans are invited to tour the speedway that annually hosts the Daytona 500. Explore the track, the garages and other famous hotspots at the famed location. Tallahassee Antique Car Museum: A collection of about 80 vehicles, from a 1894 Duryea 2-cylinder prototype to a 1962 Amphicar to a 2001 Plymouth Prowler. Open daily, hours vary. Tampa Bay Automobile Museum: A collection of vehicles known for their role in history and engineering, like front-drive and rear-engine cars from the 1920s and 1930s. Rolex 24 at Daytona: Leading up to Speedweeks, Daytona International Speedway features annual Rolex 24--24 hours of races and events. The event is held during late January each year. The first day of the event is the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Challenge 200, which is a prelude to the Rolex 24 At Daytona and the season-opening event to the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Speedweeks at Daytona International Speedway: Typically held the second week of February, Speedweeks is a series of races and events leading up to the Daytona 500. Speedweeks 2014 kicks off on February 15 with the Budweiser Shootout and the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200, which is the season-opening event for the ARCA Racing Series. On February 20 is the Budweiser Duel at Daytona, which features two 150-mile qualifying races that determine the starting lineup for the Daytona 500. On February 21 is the NextEra Energy Resources 250, which is a 100-lap, 250-mile NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event. The NASCAR Nationwide Series event is the DRIVE4COPD 300 on February 22. 55th Annual Daytona 500: "The Great American Race" features 43 of the best stock car drivers in the world take center stage in the Daytona 500, NASCAR's biggest, richest and most prestigious race. Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals: Gatornationals is the traditional East Coast opener and the season's first of 17 events for Pro Stock Motorcycle riders and first of 10 for Pro Mod racers. This event is one of the sport's most revered with a rich tradition of history-making performances. This hallowed quarter-mile has entertained spring-break-loving fans for decades. Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring: This endurance race, part of the prestigious American Le Mans Series, is held every year on the third Saturday of March. Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg: "The World's Fastest Spring Break Party" is held annually at the end of March on the streets of St. Petersburg. Coke Zero 400: Held annually on July 4th weekend, the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway features several races and events culminating in the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR race. The NASCAR Nationwide Series event is the Subway Jalapeno 250 held the day before the 400. During the weekend there is also the Brumos Porsche 250, a Grand-Am series event. Ford Ecoboost 400: Held annually in mid-November, the Ford Ecoboost 400 takes place at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Camping World Truck Series champion will be crowned in the Ford 200 on November 15, 2013 the Nationwide Series champion will be crowned in the Ford 300 on November 16, and the Sprint Cup Series champion will be crowned in the Ford 400 on November 17. Naples Depot Car Show: Scheduled for March 22, 2014, the Naples Depot Car Show is a sanctioned AACA judged event, hosted by the Naples-Marco Island Chapter AACA, and held in Depot Park (10th Street South and 5th Avenue South). Celebration Exotic Car Festival: Fast cars, rock stars, world-renowned chefs and celebrities were at the center of the 11th annual Celebration Exotic Car Festival around the second week of April 2014.
