The Virginia Living Museum in Newport News will continue its spring native plant sale on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27.
“The museum’s horticulture staff holds this annual sale as a fundraiser, but the real goal is to introduce the gardening public to the incredible variety of native plants that will do well in the landscape, and to educate them about those which are better left in the wild,” a press release says.
All plants are nursery propagated and many are not yet available in the commercial nursery trade.
The sale is held rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission to sale is free.
