Local churches, organizations hold Thanksgiving events

As the Thanksgiving holiday nears, local churches and organizations are holding events to help feeding the physical and spiritual needs of the community.

• Third Union Baptist: The Annual Thanksgiving Celebration will be at 7 p.m. on Nov. 26. Pastor Todd Winston/Greenwood Baptist Church of Ashland and Urban Melody will be the guest.
• First Baptist Church of Hockley: will have a Thanksgiving service at 9 a.m. on Nov. 28. The Rev. Keith L. Parham, senior minister will render the sermon. Music by our very own mass choir. Please join us in celebrating Thanksgiving.
• St, Paul's Episcopal (15th & F Street in West Point): will have a Thanksgiving Day Service, (Eucharist & Sermon) on Thursday, Nov. 2,8 beginning 8 a.m. All are invited to worship with us.
• Wayland Baptist: The church will have Thanksgiving service at 10 a.m. Pastor-elect, the Rev. Marcus Hickman, will bring the word. Everyone is invited to join us for this special service. Come and be blessed.
•Forge Thanksgiving Feast:  The Forge Thanksgiving Feast will be held from noon to 4 pm on Nov. 28 at the Providence Forge Recreation Center, 9900 Carriage Road.  Sponsored by the Forge Foundation.
