KING WILLIAM — On Sunday, November 17 at 3 p.m. The Harvest Musical Program will be featuring Laura Ann Singh, vocalist, and Chris Lucas, songwriter/guitarist, in a performance at Old St. John's Church on Route 30, between King William Courthouse and West Point. The program is sponsored by the Cornerstone Community Development Center.
Laura Ann Singh has sung at programs locally and has developed an enthusiastic following from these appearances.
For several years these two artists have been collaborating to produce music of faith and promise through original material, re-imagined hymns, and scripture songs. Both accomplished musicians in their own right, they have produced three albums together, and are working on a fourth.
Laura Ann has performed jazz standards, Brazilian and Latin American music extensively around the country and has released two albums with her bossa nova quartet, Quatro na Bossa. Chris, a skillful arranger, guitarist, and singer songwriter, has been a mainstay on the music scene of Richmond in both secular and religious arenas for years.
The program is a benefit for the Cornerstone Food Bank and the Free Clinic in Aylett. Tickets for the performance can be requested by calling 769-2996 or emailing email@example.com. Tickets can also be purchased on site for $10.
