GLOUCESTER – Now that milder weather has arrived, the Abingdon Ruritan Club is busy getting the grounds and booths ready for its Fall Seafood Festival, which will be on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. The seafood festival is one of the club's largest fund raising activities. The money raised is donated to local charities at the end of the year.
A limited number of tickets are still available. Tickets are $50 each and include all you-can-eat seafood and barbeque, as well as a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The popular band, The Janitors, will provide musical entertainment.
The location of the festival is Bena, VA, which is near Gloucester Point. The festival is from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Gate opens at 2:30.
Tickets can be purchased on line at http://www.abingdonruritanclub.com. To purchase tickets by mail, send a check made payable to Abingdon Ruritan Club – P.O. Box 22, Bena, VA 23018. Enclose a stamped self-addressed legal size envelope. Tickets can also be purchased at the club on Guiena road on Fridays between 5 and 7 pm until tickets are sold out. No tickets will be sold at the gate.
