These books are a must-have for everyone and anyone interested in New Kent history. This event is in conjunction with the NK History Quilt Raffle sponsored by the NK Historical Society on that same day.
Come out and enjoy some of NK's finest cuisine at the Rose & Crown while you wait patiently for your name to be called as the winner of the "much wanted" quilt. If you have not seen this hand-sewn quilt and would like a sneak peek, it will be on display and raffle tickets will be sold until the drawing at 4:00 pm.
The Rose & Crown Tavern is located next to the NK courthouse. The proceeds from this raffle will be used for the first New Kent Historical Society Scholarship to be awarded to a high school senior in May/June of 2014.
