GLOUCESTER – Abingdon Episcopal Church, on Route 17 in White Marsh, Gloucester County, will be hosting an excellent season of amazing artists in the Arts at Abingdon Series. The concerts will be held usually at 5:00 PM on various dates at the church. Admission is free but a free-will offering will be accepted.
This outstanding concert series has been ongoing for almost ten years. We are able to offer concerts free to the public through the generosity of private donors who are interested in fostering musical culture in our community. The series features musical groups from all over the world. For example, concerts in the past have featured The American Boy Choir based in New Jersey, the Tewksbury Abbey Choir from England, The Ensemble Amarcord from Germany, and the Rastrelli Quartet from Russia. Also, we have featured artists closer to home such as the Virginia Chorale, the Virginia Symphony Brass, the Jae Sinnett jazz trio, and the Virginia Opera.
This season you can expect more great artists to share their talent here on the Middle Peninsula through this Outreach program at historic Abingdon Church. Expect more information in the near future.
Seating is limited so please arrive early. For further information, please call the Abingdon Church Parish Office at (804) 693-3035.
