Ashton Kutcher has put the word out that he is interested in finding a buyer for his Hollywood Hills home, quietly shopping it at $12 million.
The modern-style, three-story home built in 2007 has views of the Hollywood Reservoir and the Hollywood sign. There are five bedrooms and eight bathrooms in nearly 9,385 square feet of living space. Features include a gym, a sauna, a wine cellar, an elevator and a living room fireplace.
The home sits on more than half an acre and has a swimming pool and spa.
That he is looking for a buyer two years after buying the property for $8.455 million could be related to changes in his life. He is engaged to mother-to-be Mila Kunis.
Kutcher, 36, has starred on the sitcom "Two and a Half Men" since he replaced Charlie Sheen in 2011. Kutcher and Kunis, 30, were both on "That '70s Show," which ran from 1998 to 2006.
Last year he starred as Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs in the film "Jobs." He also starred in "No Strings Attached" (2011), "What Happens in Vegas" (2008) and "Dude, Where's My Car?" (2000).
Actress makes a move up
January Jones of "Mad Men" has put her place in Los Feliz on the market at $1.495 million.
The gated Mediterranean was built in 1923 and sits on a modest 6,500-square-foot lot. Features include hardwood floors, a living room fireplace, French doors, a front patio, a breakfast area, three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a service entrance.
The updated kitchen has an island, marble counters and stainless-steel appliances. There are views of the Griffith Observatory and the surrounding hillsides from the 2,200-square-foot, two-story house.
Jones, 36, has been a regular on "Mad Men" since it started in 2007, playing the Grace Kelly-esque Betty Draper. Her film credits include "Seeking Justice" (2011), "Unknown" (2011) and "American Wedding" (2003).
She bought the property in 2009 for $1.02 million, according to public records. The actress purchased another home in Topanga for $1.7 million.
Adam Sires and Michael Nourmand of Nourmand & Associates are the listing agents on the Los Feliz home.
Jamie McCourt sells her home base
Jamie McCourt, the former Dodgers chief executive and co-owner, has sold her Westside estate for $45 million.
She purchased the home a decade ago with then-husband Frank McCourt for close to its $25-million asking price, according to a Times article. Now her interests are taking her farther north. She bought a 22-acre vineyard estate in Napa in the fall for $11.25 million.
Designed for grand-scale entertaining, the compound Jamie McCourt sold was built in 1931 and sits on 2.6 acres behind gates at the end of a several-hundred-foot-long driveway.
The contemporary European-style villa features a step-down living room, a commercial kitchen, an art studio, an atrium, a bar, a billiard room, a home theater, a library/study, a dance studio and a wine cellar. There are five bedrooms and six bathrooms in 20,637 square feet of living space.
Besides the main house are a guesthouse, a staff apartment and a pool house. The indoor swimming pool has a spa as well as steam and massage rooms.
The estate is near the Playboy Mansion.
