10 years of iPods
In October 2001, Apple introduced iPod, a digital music player with a distinctive white body and headphones. In the 10 years since, the company says it has sold hundreds of millions of the devices.

2003: Steve Jobs introduces the new iPod, with 10 to 40 gigabytes of storage. The iTunes Music Store is also introduced, with 200,000 songs at 99ยข each. Apple sells 1 million songs in its first week.
