Spring Awakening, the massive electronic dance music festival, will return to Soldier Field for its third year June 13-15 with headliners Kaskade, Pretty Lights and Tiesto.
Promoters React Presents announced the lineup Tuesday, which will include dozens of artists on four stages. The performers include Knife Party, Diplo, Big Gigantic, Benny Benassi, Bingo Players, Dillon Francis, Eric Prydz, Flux Pavilion and Steve Aoki. Several stages will be turned over to record labels: OWLSA and Fool's Gold will present Kill the Noise and A-Trak, Dirtybird and Relief Records will host Claude Vonstroke and Green Velvet, and BuyGore Records and Dirty Dutch will have Borgore and Chuckie.
Rounding out the lineup are 3LAU, Alex Metric, Alvin Risk, Andy C, Arty, Blasterjaxx, Caked Up, Candyland, Carnage, Datsik, Derrick Carter, Destroid, DVBBS, Dyro, Feed Me (DJ set), Ferry Corsten, Gladiator, Gregori Klosman, Kap Slap, Kill Paris, Laidback Luke, Manic Focus, Markus Schulz, Midnight Conspiracy, Nervo, Oliver, Ookay, Paper Diamond, Pete Tong, Sander Van Doorn, Sandro Silva, DJ Snake, Thomas Gold and Tommy Trash.
Spring Awakening debuted as a concert series in 2008 as electronic music was beginning to percolate anew in North America. In 2012, the festival expanded to Soldier Field, and promoters say the event drew 90,000 over three days last year with headliners Bassnectar, Calvin Harris and Moby.
