The film will be shown at 10 and 10:30 p.m. Both screenings will follow with a Q&A with Wan.
Based on a true story, "The Conjuring" revolves around married world-renowned paranormal investigators who are summoned to help a family terrorized by a dark force in a secluded farmhouse.
"Taking inspiration from the case files of two real life ghost hunters, James Wan has crafted a thriller that will definitely get under the audiences' skin," said festival associate director Doug Jones in a statement. "Creating an atmosphere of dread, one unsettling event at a time, Wan ratchets up the tension until it's nearly unbearable and delightfully scary."
The Los Angeles Times is the presenting media sponsor for the festival.
