Siegel has spent much of the past quarter century arguing that they can, his ever-expanding roster of compositions and Chamber Blues' healthy touring schedule suggesting he's finding success in making his case.

Even if he weren't, however, chances are he'd be penning and playing these blues-meets-classical compositions anyway.

"I feel like I just have more work to do," he says, sounding like a musician who will not be deterred.
