Tenor saxophone giant Sonny Rollins, who had postponed his March 29 concert at Symphony Center, has cancelled his rescheduled Sept. 13 performance.
“Due to a recent illness I am unable to perform my upcoming concert in Chicago,” Rollins, 82, said in a statement. “I am disappointed, but I hope to recover soon and I want to thank my many fans who are so loyal to me.”
Rollins had postponed the earlier concert due to a respiratory illness.
