THOMAS WALLACE
Tabb High School
Senior, basketball
Q: What’s your most memorable moment and why?
A: When we beat Jamestown, we could have quit because it was such a rough game. But we proved everyone wrong, we showed a lot of heart and hard work that game.
Q: Who is your role model? Do you see yourself as one? Why or why not?
A: My mom is my role model. She is strong and never fails at things she puts her mind to. I guess I am a role model to the younger kids, although I’d rather not be.
Q: How does your basketball influence your life?
A: Well, if it wasn’t for basketball I wouldn’t still be in school, I don’t know where I would be. It keeps me focused.
Q: Where do you want to go to college and what do you want to major in? Would you play basketball?
A: I’m not really sure where I want to go, but I know that I will be playing basketball there. I want to major in marketing.
Q: Is there a hobby you enjoy that no one would guess?
A: I like playing video games when I have time. I really like the sports ones.
Q: What’s your favorite sports movie and do you think it reflects real life?
A: I’d have to say “Friday Night Lights”. The team in the movie had so much heart and worked so hard, but in the end they still lost. I think that is more realistic to most school teams.
Q: Do you have any family rituals?
A: Before every game my mom and I pray, and every birthday I carve my age into a block of wood in my garage.
Q: Do you have any celebrity crushes? Who and why?
A: There are so many. I can probably name them for hours, but I’ll just give a few. I like Christina Milian because she’s so hot, Ciara because of her crazy dance moves, and Beyonce because she’s hot and she can dance.
